This Level 5 VTCT Ofqual qualification has been developed for practitioners who are already working with advanced skin treatments and wish to advance their scope of practice within non-surgical aesthetics.

The course builds on the practitioner’s Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Therapies qualification by developing a deeper understanding of skin science, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making at Ofqual Level 5. It is particularly suited to those wishing to work as employed practitioners or within their own clinic setting.

This advanced course develops the knowledge, clinical decision-making, and hands-on skills required to safely deliver high-demand skin rejuvenation treatments, while aligning with the UK’s evolving aesthetic standards and regulatory direction.

About the Course

Designed for practitioners who are ready to progress with confidence, this qualification provides a structured and recognised pathway into advanced non-surgical aesthetics. This is a UK-regulated VTCT qualification aligned with current and emerging standards in non-surgical aesthetic practice.

The advanced Level 5 qualification is designed for practitioners progressing directly from the Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Therapies. It develops advanced clinical knowledge, treatment planning, and practical capability, with a strong emphasis on safe practice, professional standards, and real-world application.

It prepares learners to deliver high-demand skin treatments responsibly, while supporting progression into higher-level qualifications, including:

• Level 7 Certificate in Non-surgical Aesthetic Injectable Procedures

• Level 7 Diploma in Non-surgical Aesthetic Injectable Procedures

During the course, you will complete written assignments, log and detail case studies, and compile a portfolio of supporting evidence. Final completion includes an online multiple-choice theory examination completed at the academy.
