This VTCT Level 4 Award in Eyebrow Micropigmentation is structured to take you from foundation through to confident, professional practice.

Delivered as a one-to-one mentored training experience with Tracy Fensome, the course combines pre-learning, in-clinic practical training and final assessment to ensure you develop both knowledge and hands-on skill to a high standard.

Your training is completed over 4+2 days, including home study, in-house training and a final assessment day, giving you the time, structure and support needed to fully understand each stage of the treatment process.

Throughout the course, you will work on live models under full supervision, allowing you to build real confidence within a professional and controlled clinic environment.

Course Detail

 Course Duration: 6 days in total: 1 day home study, 3 days in-house training at the academy, 1 mentor day, and 1 assessment and graduation day.

Shadow Day: Come to clinic with me see the real life of a permanent makeup artist.

Entry Requirements: A recognised Ofqual Level 3 beauty-related qualification with Anatomy & Physiology, or completion of our pathway to Level 4 Micropigmentation.

Course Dates: This is a one-to-one mentorship training, so your course dates and mentoring are arranged personally between you and Tracy.

How You Learn

 Your training is structured to help you build confidence step by step—not just reach assessment level.

Home Study (pre-course): You’ll complete pre-learning online including brow mapping and drawing practice before attending your in-house training.

On Course: Latex Practice: You’ll begin by working on latex using your machine, focusing on technique, pressure, depth, and control for safe and consistent results.

Guided Practice Between Sessions: As you develop, you’ll submit your practice work and receive feedback from your mentor, Tracy Fensome, allowing you to refine your technique as you go.

Live Model Training: You’ll progress onto working with live models when you’re ready, prepared, and confident with full support throughout your one-to-one training.

This structured approach means you build your skills properly and feel ready to move forward into working with clients.

Entry Requirements

 To enrol onto this course, you’ll need one of the following:

A recognised Ofqual Level 3 beauty-related qualification including Anatomy & Physiology
Or a Level 3 Access to Aesthetics qualification

These are current VTCT regulated requirements for Level 4 training.

If you don’t yet have one of these, you can still move forward. We offer a supported pathway to help you gain the required Level 3 qualification before progressing onto Level 4 Micropigmentation.

What Techniques Will I Learn?

 This course focuses on three key brow techniques, allowing you to create tailored results for each client:

Full Powder Brow: Soft to more defined, fuller coverage brows.

Ombre Brow: A graduated, shaded effect—lighter at the front, more defined through the body and tail.

Nano Hairstroke Brows: Fine, machine-created hairstrokes for a natural, realistic finish.

You’ll also learn how to select and adapt each technique to suit different clients, skin types, and desired outcomes.

As a trainer, assessor and mentor, with VTCT Level 4 in Permanent Makeup and Level 5 in Aesthetics, everything you learn is based on real, current practice and recognised industry standards.
