Booking & Cancellation Terms and Conditions

 All transactions are deemed to be business to business. By booking with us, it is deemed you have read and understood the terms and conditions below and agree to be bound by them and wish to undertake a Signature Academy Training course.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

  1. Booking of Course

All courses, workshops, 1-1, shadow days must be booked through Signature Academy.  Scheduled dates will be provided.  Once booked an email will be sent to the delegate confirming the booking and it is deemed you have read and understood the terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them and wish to undertake a Signature Academy Ltd course.

  • Once course is completed the student will undertake and commit to case study period detailed in the relevant course over-view, commence home study by practicing a permanent makeup machine or microblading study on practice mat. ­
  • Pre study is compulsory in order to commence the training. An examination to demonstrate the students’ knowledge and understanding will be carried out on the first day of training. If pre study is not fully completed Signature Academy have the right to reschedule the student on the next available training date. A cost will be incurred to the student.
  • Courses cannot be re-taken. Support is provided by allocated mentor days.
  • Course case studies must be completed within 6 months period from last day of course. (not applicable to the Aesthetics Package). It is not the responsibility of Signature Academy to manage the student’s schedule to ensure that the case studies are fulfilled in this period.
  • If the student feels they cannot complete within 6 months, an email must be forwarded to Signature Academy with details to why at least 1 month prior to completion date. Subject to the reason an extra month may be provided to allow for completion. Thereafter, any further mentor dates will be at a reduced cost of £350 per day.
  1. Terms of Payment

2.1 A deposit of 20% of total fee must be paid at the time of booking. Once paid this secures your place on the course.

2.2 Full payment must be paid 4 weeks prior or earlier to course date by bank transfer.

  1. Course fees

3.1 The contractually binding fee is the fee stated in the price list, web site or the agreed bespoke price and is current at the time of application.

3.2 Should a delegate wish to change their booking, then each booking change is subject to a fee equal to 10% of the course fee.

3.3 Booking changes are only allowed up to 2 weeks before the start of the course.

  1. Cancellation and Refunds

The following conditions apply if the course delegate is unable to take part in the course:

4.1 In the case of a cancellation between 7-31 days before the start of the course, we shall withhold 75% of the course fee.

4.2 In the case of late cancellation (up to 6 days before start of course date), non-attendance or leaving the course once it is underway, students are not entitled to a refund.

4.3 If cancellation is 2 weeks prior to course and full payment has not been made we shall withhold the full deposit amount.

4.4  In the case of the late rescheduling of a course, we have the right to charge £500 per reschedule. Multiple rescheduling will waive any rights to a cancellation refund.

4.5 Cancellations must be submitted in writing and dated.

4.6 Due to unforeseen circumstances, inclement weather, road accidents and other force majeure, it may be necessary to cancel, postpone or suspend all or part of any course. Although every effort will be made to ensure all courses are run, in the unlikely event that the company is forced to cancel any course we will endeavor to reschedule at a mutually agreeable time. The company will not be held responsible for additional expense incurred by students as a result of cancellations for reasons that are beyond our control.

4.7 If you are prone to illness, suffer repeated illness or have an on-going medical complaint, which may affect your ability to attend a course, we recommend you take out adequate insurance to cover any loss. Signature Academy Ltd will make every effort to accommodate your requirements.

  1. Insurance

5.1 You are covered by Signature Insurance policy during all Courses. The Company’s indemnity insurance is provided by Holistic Insurance. Upon successful completion of any Course, you are required to hold your own indemnity insurance against malpractice. We ask that you gain insurance, so you can practice immediately after the course.

 

  1. Complaints Procedure

Signature Academy Ltd is committed to providing exceptional service. When something goes wrong we need you tell us about it. This will help us to improve our standards. This complaints procedure is for people who feel dissatisfied with the service. You have a right to complain and have it investigated.

Signature Academy Ltd aims to learn from any mistakes and the complaints procedure is seen as very important in the continuous improvement cycle. How to complain. Firstly, raise your complaint with the member of staff responsible for the service about which you are complaining. If the matter is not resolved, promptly or fully, by them then Marc Little will become involved to work with you and the individual or team to reach a satisfactory resolution.

If you are not satisfied with how your complaint has been handled, you may begin the formal complaint procedure by putting the nature of your complaint in writing to the Marc Little.

What will happen next?

  1. The Marc Little will send you a letter acknowledging receipt of your complaint within 7 working days of receiving it, enclosing a copy of this procedure.2. The Marc Little will then investigate your complaint. This will normally involve reviewing your complaint with others involved.

    3. The Marc Little will send you a written reply to your complaint, including suggestions for resolving the matter, with 30 working days of sending you the acknowledgement letter.

Dissatisfaction of the course/service must be made in writing within 2 weeks of the practical course completing.

 

 

 

  1. Certificate of Completion

7.1 A certificate of completion will only be issued to you by Signature Academy Ltd upon successful completion of the Course. This includes completed case studies, competency in the multiple choice examination and practical assessment.

7.2 Attendance of a Signature training course does not guarantee certification. Signature Academy Ltd will only release practitioners into the industry who have demonstrated their ability to carry out Permanent Cosmetics treatments safely and to the high standard required without trainer supervision. A copy of the assessment criteria is provided at training and the VTCT assessment book if applicable.

7.3 In the rare event the student does not meet the competency of a practical and or written examination, Signature Academy Ltd will book a further assessment day and provide supporting skills gap training free of charge for 1 month.

 

  1. Expenses

8.1 Signature Academy Ltd is not liable for any loss of earnings or travel expenses incurred by the learner.

Models

 

  1. Time

9.1 Models should allow between 3 to 4 hours for their procedure. Arriving in 10 to 15 minutes prior to the appointment time.

  1. Costs

10.1 A needle and materials cost of £50 should be paid before the appointment.  A perfecting top boost will be charged at £45 with a student or £150 if the model wishes to have the procedure with a trainer.

10.2 Student top ups are placed on a waiting list and will be offered an appointment when the students are actively back at Signature. Priority of model’s selection will be based in chronological order of when they attended their first session.

10.3 We cannot guarantee a top up within a specific time frame as a model, however, we do have the option to attend a discounted trainer fee of £150 for a private appointment if you require one sooner.

10.4 A full deposit of £50 is required to secure a booking.

  1. Model Cancellations and Refunds

11.1 If you wish to cancel your appointment we will require 14 days notice prior to the appointment.  Deposits will be non refundable for any cancellations after this period or non-arrivals.

12.2 The Company may need to change your appointment. You will be given advanced notice of this.

  1. Pre Procedure
    12.1 Please carefully read the pre procedure document and complete all forms in advance of appointment. If there is a specific ailment or disorder, medication or a treatment you are currently undergoing get in touch.

12.2 Completed pre procedure forms will be required when you attend your appointment.

 

  1. Misc

13.1 For health and safety reasons please do not bring, children, friends or family into the training environment.

13.2 Treatments are carried out by delegates at foundation or advanced level overseen by qualified trainers.
